Allison B. Burkett, M.D., F.A.C.S

Dr. Burkett, M.D., F.A.C.S received her B.A. in Psychology at William College. She received her Medical Degree at State University of New York Stony Brook. She completed her General Surgery residency at North Shore University-Albert Einstein Long Island Jewish Medical Center in New York City.

Following her General Surgey training, she completed her fellowship in Vascular Surgery at Atlanta Medical Center. Dr. Burkett is board certified in General and Vascular Surgery. She has co-authored papers that have been published in Peer Reviewed Journals. She has been privileged as an active staff physician at Piedmont and Wellstar Hospitals in Metro Atlanta.

Most recently she was an Assistant Professor of Surgery at Morehouse School of Medicine where she instructed residents and medical students at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta. She has been certified in wound healing. Her primary focus is Vascular Surgery and Medicine, providing care for patients with arterial and venous diseases. She is passionate about the community she serves and is excited to join the community of Middle Georgia. Dr. Burkett looks forward to sharing in the care of your patients.

Our New Middle Level Provider

Vonteena (Teena) Cutter, MSN, NP-C is a native of Charlotte, North Carolina. She received her B.S. in Exercise Science with a minor in Psychology, Chemistry, and Biology at Appalachian State University. She then completed her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) at Azusa Pacific University in San Diego, California.

Teena is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. In 2015, she began her nursing career at Prebys Cardiovascular Institute in San Diego.  Shortly after moving to Georgia in 2019, she continued her nursing career at Houston Heart Institute specializing in Cardiovascular and Vascular interventions. She is proud to now be a part of the Middle Georgia community, and joined Middle Georgia Vascular Surgery and Vein Solutions in July 2020. Her primary focus is providing care to patients with Venous and Arterial Disease and a special focus on wound care related to Peripheral Vascular Disease. Teena makes a point to build lasting relationships with each patient she treats and takes pride in providing excellent healthcare to every individual.
